Jesus, I prayed so hard this morning. I wanted to do the right thing, and my past was coloring my common sense.... again ! I make decisions, trying to trust in Your providence, and I know that YOU KNOW how hard You have been on me, so MANY times, for whatever shaping reason.... no matter. Anyway, when I had to tell M, my boss, the Truth about my situation in the new job assignment.... I was nervous. Plain and simple, nervous. Soooo many job things have gone bad in the past.... now, I was faced with another one of those days.
So, because I trust M like I do, and MORE because I trust YOU AND THE TRUTH like I do, I went for it. I told him that the new department assignment was hurting the 3 bad discs in my neck and I couldn't continue to work there.... after only 5 weeks, I have been having bad pain in my neck, shoulders and arms, back on the drugs. phew....
He was his sweet old self, but I felt like an ass because my effort to learn was so short-lived. I tried to be flexible, to learn something new so I could be more useful, valuable, but it isn't working for my battered spine..... drat. So, I fessed up.
I feared that I would be the next in line for a lay-off, now. Not to mention, I learned the new job to get off the partial unemployment of the past few months to begin with..... well, You must have been listening really well when I was praying after leaving my VERY GOOD HIGH PAYING JOB 4 years ago, due to my injuries and dependence on pain meds.....cause, guess what? (... Well, You don't have to guess, Jesus, being omniscient and all....) they believed me.... and before the day was out, they set me up for learning ANOTHER JOB !!!!!! I feel like Sally Fields, in "Norma Rae", when I say, "They like me, they really like me !" Sheeze, the both of my bosses came out to reassure me that they were fine with me not being able to handle the new job. Then, THEY OFFERED ME TO LEARN A NEW ONE, within two hours...... I've never had good bosses before. I just don't expect good outcomes. I don't expect good outcomes from MOST THINGS... it's never been Your way with me. Boy, could I get used to that !
Yo, DUDE, Jesus, You ARE THE BOMB. Those prayers from Hubbs and B worked miracles. I have NEVER been in a job that had such a dope boss, except for one, M.E. He was a good boss, at the old job, the only 1 of 2 out of 20 ! Wow, You really were listening when I was looking for this job, Jesus.
THANKS. Bless my Christian bosses, and my Hindu ones, with greater portion of You. Bless the ones who know You with more of You, and the ones who don't with frequent introductions to You. Thanks for my job. I LOVE YOU !
