BETRAYAL...!!!! the wicked beast who prowls to break us all. Learned a few new things today...or found ways to rephrase them with greater clarity through ed young:
- Our enemies can't betray us.
- Only those close enough to us can betray us.
- Only trusting ones can be betrayed.
- Betrayers have to be close enough to kiss you.
- BREAK THE BACK OF BETRAYAL or it will break you !
- All of the disciples betrayed Jesus at one time or another.
- Judas is the only one who didn't COME BACK to reconcile himself !
- Joseph's brothers ALL betrayed him, sold him into slavery.
- Joseph practiced PRE-EMPTIVE FORGIVENESS. His spirit was prepared to forgive his betrayers before they ever returned.
- Forgiveness means giving up the right to punish your betrayer, or any offender.
The Bright side ? You saved an entire nation from famine through Joseph's proper handling of betrayal, after placing him in a key position capable of dispensing that deliverance.
You saved ME through Judas' betrayal, as he fulfilled prophetic detail. Your continued faithfulness to the Father in the face of betrayal, fulfilled Your destiny and saved the whole world of all men who receive who YOU are, Jesus.
Great things to learn, Jesus. VERY GOOD affirmations for those practices of preparation in which I have been engaging since the conception of this blog. Bless Your Spirit's ministry to mine with fresh anointing to receive of the many teachers that I have been embracing this past year and a half in hopes of overcoming deep betrayal and grief. Lead me on into the shape You intend for my life, for YOUR glory, Jesus. Amen
