~ JOY in new insight

It's no guarantee that our family, friends, relatives, partners or teammates will love us. Many needn't. Most won't. Few do. Only in the anointing of Your Hand on the hearts and spirits of others do we EVER know love toward us. Only in the anointing of Your Hand on the heart and spirit of ourselves do we EVER know love toward others. We could hardly bear the burden of love for all. Love IS a consuming fire, Jesus. It burns us clean and purifies our every action drenched in the necessities of compassion and forgiveness.

This week, I learned the oddest and most invaluable Truth from Your Word, in the form of Peter's and John's placement in Your life when You were here. A VERY VERY crucial understanding from one of my Mentors in You. Love.... it's anointed placement and expression... !

Peter, denied You and received forgiveness in his life with You. He enthusiastically walked on water in pursuit of You. He cut off an ear in defense of You. He expressed his displeasure and then accepted Your presence at the Tax Collector's house. He responded thrice to Your inquiries regarding his love for You on the beach over breakfast, after diving in and running to You from the boat...AGAIN. He rushed to Your tomb, etc. etc. He loved YOU !

John, was recounted as the disciple that You so loved. His bond with You is touted as very intimate and he is regarded as the disciple that You loved most deeply. He sat next to You at the last supper with his head on Your chest. He recognized You first when You came walking on the water. He, like Peter, was accounted as a 'pillar of the Church.' Both disciples, along with James were at Your Transfiguration.

So, why, Jesus, did You choose Peter to build Your Church? Why NOT the disciple You loved the most ?

ANSWER: whether or not You loved John the MOST.... in John's own words ( JOHN 21 v.20(AD)disciple whom Jesus loved following them; the one who also had (AE)leaned back on His bosom at the supper )... John himself says, Your love for him exceeded Your love for the others, YET, Peter's love FOR YOU exceeded all the others' love for You. ( v.15 Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you (U)love Me more than these?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord; You know that I love You "... Why lie to the Lord who already knows all? Must be so ! )

So, who did You entrust the Keys to Your House with ? Not the one who You loved the most.....but the one who could hardly contain his enthusiasm, repeatedly. The one who MOST LOVED YOU.

A very joy-filled discovery into the two directions of our love in Your power, Jesus. Both that sent and that received. A lesson in building our loves around those who love us, with more trust, stewardship and responsibility, than those whom WE LOVE. Not around our critics and those who are most displeased with us NOR around those whom we love so very much...

A GOOD week's insight for me ! I LOVE YOU. Thanks for trusting me with so many pieces of You. Build our Body up in You, for Your glory, Jesus. amen.
