Well, I have decided several things today and last night. I am surrounded in this family by people that ARE NOT LIKE ME !! They don't "get" the fire in my soul, or the passion (which is YOU) ! They may 'get' You one day, but not in any hurry. I have been accused of being a doormat, a bleeding heart, rose-colored-glasses, Miss Truth-or-Consequences, insane, a drama queen, too emotional, too busy trying to be a teacher, etc, etc, etc.... You know what... the Truth is, I believe I am the normal one ! I live with cold men of colder women who are all scarred by the ravages of abuse and divorce and addictions into 'self-preservation'. They are all trying to scar me, well, not trying.... just scarring me by osmosis, really. I keep saying that I am not like them. I CAN'T turn off my heart from some things without turning it off from everything. (Neither can they, they only THINK they can !) So, I'm sad when I hurt and I LOVE when I love and I cry when you mistreat me.... and, "No" I do not get better by 'self-preservation' that walls people out and creates COLD HEARTED family division in me. I refuse to 'behave' and tow the family ice brick from place to place and 'act' like I don't love someone because they are mean and unkind. I JUST PLAIN GET WOUNDED BY THEM.
Jesus, You HAVE TO protect me, because I have remained very innocent of how to stop the abuse, after all these years among this group. I DON'T HAVE THE VENGENCE GENE ! I just plain SUCK at self-preservation and self-defense... You MUST help me. It doesn't work, anyway. Just propogates division. I NEED You to police my interactions and guard me away from the harmful ones. I keep seeing everyone with the grace, mercy and compassion that You keep me with. So, target I AM !
