Lord, You are STILL shaking things up! YOU are the giver and the taker of all things, relationships, people, gifts, talents, finances, breath... and it seems like a long long time since I remember anything being comfortable on the job fronts. Almost a decade, already, of upheaval and shaking up of my finances and circumstances. Some of me has resigned. The part that KNOWS that it's all up to YOU, why fret.... And, some of me has grown beyond tired of the endless pushing. It seems that I always end up being one of the FEW in a workplace who is satisfied where I am and THANKFUL that I am anywhere gainfully employed. There's always the ungrateful and restless faction of naysayers and malcontents. Your Spirit in me brings me joy in all these circumstances. This tends to exasperate the discontented all the more.
As per usual, after 2 years in this job, there are a few VERY discontented people whose behavior is always stressful to everybody. This time it is exagerated by low work hours, since we have become so efficient in our contract work. PARTIAL UNEMPLOYMENT !!!! WooHoo.... never did this before! Do I REALLY NEED to learn MORE hard lessons? People already think I have lived through too much and that half my stories are made up. Do I really need to go through yet some more hard luck, drama stories, Jesus? I already hide so much of what is me just so as not to put people off with the scope of what you do/ have done in and through my life.
I am trusting You. Many of the workmates are not. People get mean and nasty, embittered and territorial in the lean times when they are squeezed. The crescendo has been building. Posturing, vying for position and prominence... or just for survival.... poor character leaps to the forefront... and squeals. hmmmmm.....
