I was just thinking today about this movie (I forget the title of it) and how the characters were given jobs based on their interests, personal skills and their personalities. Then I thought of my current job and perhaps other jobs I may be able to try. Maybe not a job but perhaps a hobby turned into a job in the future, God-willing.
Won't go too much into my personality but will list out my interests and actual experiences from recent and past.
1. woodworking (furniture-making, scroll saw projects, refurbishing)
2. crocheting (afghan blankets/baby blankets)
3. interior decorating/designing
4. car detailing
5. writing books (Christian-based fiction)
6. Painting on canvases and incorporating verses with sharpie marker (surprisingly satisfying to write with sharpie marker on canvas)
#1, 3, 5, & 6 are something I'm quite into. I see craft stores that carry wooden signs or words carved out for decor and I think to myself..'I can do that'. And sell it cheaper than what the store offers.
This blog is just a self-reflection of the areas of my interests and how I would personally like to turn those interests into more than a hobby/one-time project. I admire those who use their talents and interests instead of letting those interests die down without a chance.
