  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Jesus Is Everything

Jesus is Everything.jpg

Those who spent time with Jesus were in awe of his presence. We too, should experience the awesomeness of Jesus when we fully take in the understanding that he was God in the flesh, walking this earth to share his love by going to the cross on our behalf.

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 (NASB)

Through Jesus, we have been delivered from God’s wrath and elevated to the position of being in his favor. When we embrace the message of his death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins, we have been granted a new life that only Jesus can provide.

“And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12 (NASB)

God, our Creator, provided us with Jesus Christ so that we might have a path to righteousness. This provision is unique and there is no other connection to God that is able to move our sinfulness aside and deliver us from evil.

“For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.” 1 Timothy 2:5 (NASB)

The divine presence and splendor of God was present in Jesus and he clearly demonstrated his deity by radiating God’s glory. Indeed, Jesus precisely represented God the Father. Jesus also demonstrated that his work here on earth on our behalf was complete when he took his place at the right hand of God.

“He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.” Hebrews 1:3 (NASB)

Just as there is only one God, there is also no one else like Jesus. Jesus is everything we need and more. When we walk in the light of Jesus we are safely in the hands of God.
