2. to be devoted in support or allegiance
1. to refuse to have, take, recognize, etc.
2. to discard as useless or unsatisfactory
3. to cast out or eject
Titus 1:13-14
This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith; Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from (which means reject) the truth. parenthesis mine
1. to make foul, dirty; pollute; taint; debase.
2. to violate the chastity of
3. to make impure for ceremonial use; desecrate
2. not accepting any, or particular religious belief.
3. doubtful, incredulous.
Titus 1:15
Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
1. Morally depraved, in danger of being without hope of salvation. (This can be read in the dictionary and actually with a firmer stance than what I have written)
Depraved:
1. corrupt, wicked, or perverted
2. evil, sinful, debased, degenerate; dissolute, profligate; licentious, lewd
Titus 1:16
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Identify them, attempt to admonish, rebuke, correct them. If they refuse correction, reject them according to Titus 3:10-11, as they are wolves disguised in sheep's clothing.Titus 3:10-11
A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject; Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sins, being condemned of himself.
