As a teen, I own a Nintendo DS Lite and it was broken. I couldn't use the L Button because the L Button was broke. The button would still work, but you have to press it in a certain way in order for it to work. So, what I do was sell it at GameStop which was wrong. Not only was it an unfair thing for me to do. I have to buy another one for the same price. After buying another one without getting it repaired, I basically just rip-off myself off into buying another one.
At 18, I decided to called Nintendo to help me get it repaired and it was way cheaper for me than selling the handheld to GameStop and buying another one. But, I have to wait for a few weeks in order for it to get repair.
Tip: Do not sell a broken game system. Get it repaired for a cheaper price. Call the company's phone number and get it shipped to them so they can repair it. It'll take a couple of weeks to get it repaired, but you gonna need a lot of patience. Find something to do around the house while you wait for it to get repaired. Do this and you should save more money.
