How To Be Good In RPGs?

As a kid, I'd only level up my party a little bit at the beginning of the game and avoid getting into battles later on, making my party weak and too weak to beat future stronger enemies. This costs me to lose and also lose some money after getting a game over. I also lose in battles and get a game over because I didn't buy any items like potions, ethers, and healing items to healed my party of monsters/characters in case they was on low HP, low MP, or has a status problem.
If you're good at leveling up your party of monsters/characters by not avoiding a lot of battles with foes and train yourself to level up at a certain level as a goal then you're good at leveling up. But, if you avoid a lot of battles and don't train your entire party of monsters/characters at a certain level as a goal then you may have trouble defeating stronger foes in future battles and level up slowly.
If you gonna level up then be sure to purchase some potions and ethers to back your party up so you don't die easily and cast plenty of magic. So be sure to buy a certain amount of potions, ethers, and etc. to support your party and build your stats. If you start a new game or delete a character that is above the lower levels just to start over again and don't reach any higher levels then you're wasting your time unless you have a specific good reason like you probably didn't get some things you want at the beginning of the game.
If you have a low-leveled monster and want to level it up, then you could train it to fight monsters that are slightly above it's level or higher to make it level up multiple times, but if you're using a low-leveled monster in your party in battle against stronger enemies, then there's a chance that it's might get defeated in battle if your opponent hits it.
Tip 1: Use items to increase your characters'/monsters' stats.
Tip 2: Try to get in battles with your foes, so you can gained enough experience points to defeat stronger foes in future battles.
