My English teacher wants you to choose a topic out of the two or so assigned topics to begin your essay and draft on. I use two key support and a central argument to develop a thesis, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion restating the thesis. I also had to typed it, double spaced it, make an outline, put down my headings, the title of the assignment, an assigned font, and a revision reflection and a conclusion on the final draft.
For me, it was these two assigned topics for me to choose:
1. Identify a fictional character, historical figure, or creative work that has had a significant impact on you. Provide two key support as to how and/or why the figure or work has impacted you so deeply.
2. Identify a significant event or experience in your life that greatly impacted or changed you in some way. Provide two key support as to how and/or why the experience has impacted or changed you so deeply.
I chose assigned topic #1 to work my essay and draft on. I had hand my draft in to the professor and she gave me a notification for something missing and wasn't told to do on the topic in her feedback.
There's not a clear significant impact here.
I don't see two key support related directly to the assigned argument.
You're not seeming to focus on one thing but a whole collection.
You're mostly summarizing about the games. That's not what you're asked to do.
You need to argue that one game had a significant impact on your life and give two clear reasons why that is.
When I review it with my older brother and search for the definition of impact I know what she meant about the assigned topics and it help me to better understand and do better on the assignment. If you're wondering I did assigned topic #1 about Pokemon but it had nothing to do with how it had a significant impact on you. I provided a better central argument this time because it didn't make any sense, and made Pokemon focus on how it had a significant impact on me according to the rule in the assigned topic #1.
