"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." (John 6:63 KJV)
Quickens: 1. to make alive. 2. to cause to be enlivened. (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)
The Holy Spirit causes us to become lively and alive in God. He is the power that bring an end to all forms of deadness in our soul, body and spirit. Without Him, we will be struggling with God's principles and precepts. We will struggle to keep and abide by them. But when He comes, He enliven us, He breath on us and give us a life anew.
He is the Fertilizer that accelerate our growth in God's garden. We may think of our needs as being numerous, but asking for and being filled with the Holy Spirit, will put an end to several of our challenges.
When He comes your productivity will sky-rocket. You will begin to produce results at an alarming rate. Perilous times are here, we need Him to help us navigate this wicked world successfully.
Our prayerlessness and lack of fervency in the place of prayer, is a clear indication of our need for Him. Above all else, let us ask for the enduement of the Holy Spirit today!
"And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me." (Acts 1:4 KJV)
Jesus forbade the disciples from preaching until the Holy Spirit visits them, are we to adopt a different approach today? We departed from "Jerusalem", we are already running to the uttermost part of the earth without "the promise of the Father". How we must repent and return to "Jerusalem" and wait for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
ACTION PLAN: Are you thoroughly satisfy with your walk with and work for God? If not, return to wait on God for the empowerment of His Spirit(Isaiah 40:31)
PRAYER: Father, draw me away from the noise of life and help me wait on You for the empowerment of Your Spirit.
