It has hard to believe that I have been teaching for almost a full year. When you are growing up, you think that your future cannot get there fast enough. You feel like you are always going to be stuck right where you are. But, when it finally does get there, it passes you by in the blink of an eye. It has made me realize how short our lives really are. It has made me think about how little time we truly have with our family and our friends.
Overall, I have honestly enjoyed my first year of teaching. It is not quite over yet, but it will be very soon. My kids have challenged me and tested me, but I have taken it as a learning opportunity. If anyone tries to tell themselves that there is no room to grow, they are only cutting themselves short. I know that I do need to improve in my techniques, but I know that God has placed me here and will help me along the way. Even though there is not a lot of money in education, I do not regret making this my career. God told me to do this for a reason. Even if I never truly know the extent to which I may touch someone else's life, God knows. Sometimes it is hard to leave rationality behind and blindly follow, but you always end up in the right place when you put your trust in Him.
