  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hebrews 4

Entering God’s Rest

As children of God we are promised entering into His rest, so long as we obey and believe in the One sent by God, Jesus Christ - the Son of God. He is the rest (Lord over Sabbath) we enter into when we believe and follow Him.
We have to be cautious and be sure that we don’t follow into old patterns of the life we knew before Christ; otherwise we fall into disobedience which takes us away from God’s rest.

Jesus Christ, High Priest

With Jesus Christ as our High Priest Whom has been tempted in all things the same way, without sin, should give us confidence going to the throne of grace for mercy and have grace to help us in time of need.

There’s no need to hide as God is all seeing and all knowing, full of love for strengthening the weak.
