[FONT="]And so I got out there, and I’m sitting there in this Baptist home in a den talking to him, and his wife and that family, that Baptist family. My daughter comes in from high school; she comes in, and I wasn’t home, so she just, her and this little girl were friends that lived there, and they were both in high school, so they just came up to the house there. At the other girls house, Diane’s house. [/FONT]

[FONT="]So they walked in, of course brother Hagin has known my daughter ever since she was pretty small for several years. And he said, “Well, Zona, how are you doing honey?” And she said, “Oh, brother Hagin, I’m doing al right. I’m getting along just fine.” she said, “Except it’s my Dad.” Fifteen, sixteen year old girls always have “Dad trouble”. He said, “Your Dad? What’s’ wrong honey?” She said, “Well, look at my hands how ugly they are, and everything, and my legs; with all these warts and knots and all these goofed up looking growths on them.” And she said, “I called up Dr. Lowell(?),” He said, “I could take them off in one night.”, if my Daddy would give me permission. He’d put me to sleep and take them off and I’d come home the next day. And you talk to my Daddy, because I’ve been telling that for a long time. He keeps saying, “Well, well see Zona. We’ll see Zona. Well, Ok Zona, we’ll see.” But he won’t let me go to the hospital though. And I’m getting tired of these things. They’re embarrassing.” [/FONT]

[FONT="]Now listen closely. He opened up his mouth and said, “Ah, Zona. I could curse those things in Jesus’ name and they will disappear.” If you want to learn anything about God, you’ve got to get around somebody that knows God pretty well. You understand? I’ve never heard nobody make a statement like that in my life. He said he could. He said, “I could curse those things in Jesus’ name and they will disappear.” Brother, I caught it real quick like. But I knew I was in a Baptist home. I looked over at this Baptist woman, when I looked over to her she goes, (makes face). If you want to get the teaching of a Baptist family, just go in the house where somebody is sick and has got knots and growths all over them, and say, “Look. I’ll curse those things in Jesus’ name and everything will disappear!” I guarantee it will be real quiet in there. Nobody will ask you questions. I guarantee you they won’t. Nobody. They just, like they’re stunned. Yeah. That Baptist woman rolled her eyes around and went, [/FONT]

[FONT="]“Huhh!” Well, of course, I just lived a block away from her, you know. Her and her husband. So I have to live there, Hagin is gonna be leaving in three or four days, I have to live there. So I start talking about the weather. “Ah! The weather in East Tennessee is sure is nice this time of year. It’s wonderful!” “Ah, these mountains around here are so pretty, you know... just to change the subject.” I didn’t want to get in no long, drawn out, Baptist conversation. I wanted to believe God myself. I was interested in believing God. And I knew he was sincere, because of the way he said it. And I said to myself, “When I get him down to the house, I’m not gonna cover up. I’m gonna ask him what he meant by that.” So we sat around and talked till about Midnight. He and his wife were into the guest room, and I forgot to ask him. [/FONT]

[FONT="]And then I went into my bedroom, and I’d been in there about 15 minutes. And somebody knocked on my bedroom door. I opened the door and Brother Hagin was standing there. He just walked in and said, “Ah, Brother Norvell. I thought I would just come in and ask you to see you’ve got anything from God lately, while you’re praying. I said, “Has God showed you anything lately, you want to share with me?” I said, “Well, not necessarily, you know, probably that you’d be interested in.” He said, “Well, I thought I’d just come and spend some time with you and pray together and have some fellowship with you, but...” But he said, “I’m gonna have to leave early in the morning, Brother Norvel.” And I said, what for?” He said, “My sister is 55 years old, and she has this disease. And she lives in Texas, but I went in my room and while ago, and the Spirit of God moved upon me. And the Lord said to me, ‘I want you to get up early in the morning and leave, now son, because I want you to drive straight Because, now your sister is gonna die. Don’t pray and ask Me to heal her, because I’m not gonna heal her.” He said, “Five years ago, I’ve kept her healed for five years.” When she was the age of 50, she took this disease. What was it, cancer? Cancer. She took cancer and was dying at the age of 50, and he said, he went and prayed for her, laid your hands upon her and prayed for her, and I healed her because you asked Me to, and I healed her.” But He said, “You have a radio broadcast right in the city where she lives and she doesn’t even listen to it. She hasn’t read the Bible very much in the last five years. I’ve kept her healed for five years, but I can’t , you’re faith can’t carry her no longer, I’m not gonna let it. She’s a grown woman. It’s her responsibility to read the Bible and build her own faith to believe Me, and for the last five years, I’ve kept her healed and gave her every chance in the world to do that, and she’s failed to do it, and now then the Devil’s come to fasten his disease on her again. And she doesn’t have enough faith to get rid of it. So don’t pray for her, she’s gonna die. And I want you to get in your car, early in the morning and go, so you can see her and talk to her for a few minutes right before she dies.” [/FONT]

[FONT="]I said, “Ok. Sorry you have to go Brother Hagin, but if that’s the way it is, that’s the way it is.” He said, “Well, that’s ... I have to leave in the morning.” (I) Got up the next morning and I forgot to ask him about what he meant about cursing those things. And sure enough, I came on to Nashville to the convention at the Full Gospel Businessmen, and we received a telegram, I think it was on Thursday, when it was Thursday; he said, “He couldn’t come, because his sister just passed away in Texas.” But He said, all of the time, every one of his relatives that we’re gonna die in the future. He showed him they were going to die before they died. Gives you a good chance to go talk to them. [/FONT]
