God's power is being used for?

He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:7-8)

What I am saying is that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, although he owns the whole estate. He is subject to guardians and trustees until the time set by his father. So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the basic principles of the world. But when the time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we might receive the full rights of sons. (Galatians 4:1-5)

See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: “Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”? These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings. (Colossians 2:20-22)

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Romans 12:1-2)

A lot of the churches focus has been to re-establish the nation of Israel either through a figurative (church = spiritual israel) or what's happening now with the middle east via the US military industrial complex. but that's not our purpose. The power God has given us is to be used to be witnesses of the risen Christ. i.e. People see the risen Christ in us .. and then understand what the message means by our example.

But the glory is lacking. What the bible calls the basic principles of the world are the core of the churches teachings .. i.e. following rules that say do not taste, do not handle, do not touch. But in being under this yoke that Jesus came to free us from .. we do not partake of the glory of God.

Under the law .. and fallen from grace .. we always fall short of this glory .. that is quite obtainable .. it is right inside us .. and would be quite visible to everyone .. if we'd just stop surrounding this light with an opaque enclosure of self effort and self righteousness in following the basic principles of the world, the slavery of being under the law.

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under (by) law. (Galatians 5:18)

Follow church history with the lense of the old testament history . begin from moses .. the 12 . joshua .. watch the period of judges emerge .. a papal king be considered great wisdom .. and a division of the kingdom over "work" .. and even the captivity of confusion (babylon). This is evidence of the entity known as the church being directed by the law .. the same history that was given to Israel being under that same law .. happened to this organization. But Jesus continues to build his church .. it's not bound by man made distinctions .. and as he said .. wait until the harvest .. and then separate the wheat and the tares.

But you reading now .. do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world. but be transformed by the renewing of your mind .. so you will know what God's will is .. His good pleasing and perfect will.

Too long has the creation groaned waiting for the children of God .. do not keep them waiting any longer.
