Genesis 1:9 - Genesis 1:13

Hello! Welcome to my post! This covers Genesis 1:9 through Genesis 1:13 which covers more of the First Story of Creation.

First, there will be the Testament, section, book, then the part. In bold you'll find the Chapter that I am Reading from. Then you'll find the Story that I am on.

I will quote the Bible and then you will see my comments about that section. Then I will ask a question as a bullet. Feel free to post a comment with your answers to these questions! Just make sure to list the question first. I'd love to know your view on my questions as well as other things you'd like to add! After the bullet I will post my own answer to the question.

Chapter 1 (continued)
First Story of Creation (continued)

"Then God said, "Let the water under the sky be gathered into a single basin, so that the dry land may appear." And so it happened: the water under the sky was gathered into its basin, and the dry land appeared. God called the dry land "the earth," and the basin of the water he called "the sea." God saw how good it was. Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth vegetation: every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it." And so it happened: the earth brought forth every kind of plant that bears seed and every kind of fruit tree on earth that bears fruit with its seed in it. God saw how good it was. Evening came, and morning followed---the third day." (9 - 13)

Wow! God had a busy day! :D I like how the earth began with, basically, a flood. It is almost as if it foretells of The Great Flood that is yet to happen with nearly "ending" everything. But God decided to gather the water into a single basin, the sea.

Mmm . . . fruit! :yum: Thank you, God, for the yummy fruit I love so much!

  • What is your favorite vegetable or fruit that God most likely made on the third day?
I love just about every type of fruit! As for veggies, I like them . . . though not as much as fruit! I especially love watermelon and grapes (really good frozen, by the way)! :yum:

Can't wait to see what you think!
