FOUR things a man must learn to do
If he would make his record true: To think without confusion clearly; To love his fellow man sincerely; To act from honest motives purely; To trust in God and Heaven securely.

Think...love...act...trust. A life that is vibrant, purposeful, honest, philanthropic, ordered , hopeful and reverent. Oh, that we could say that our lives are filled with such noble and productive balance! But the doldrums days do happen. We are human. We must pace ourselves. We must flee the distracting push and panic of the advertised standard. It is, after all, not the experience of the majority.
We must look to Jesus. Draw upon His Spirit. Keep short accounts over known sin. Realize that with Him tomorrow is another day of grand opportunity. He knows the stuff of which we are made.
Are you in need of a breakthrough? Consider Isaiah 58 (The Message):
I'll give you a full life in the emptiest of places—
firm muscles, strong bones.
You'll be like a well-watered garden,
a gurgling spring that never runs dry.
You'll use the old rubble of past lives to build anew,
rebuild the foundations from out of your past.
You'll be known as those who can fix anything,
restore old ruins, rebuild and renovate,
make the community livable again.
