"[And indeed] the Lord will certainly deliver and draw me to Himself from every assault of evil. He will preserve and bring me safe unto His heavenly kingdom. To Him be the glory forever and ever. Amen (so be it)." (2 Timothy 4:18 AMPC)
The opening statement in our text is very audacious! Brother Paul knew that God will definitely deliver him from every assualt of the devil. He knew that He will also draw him closer to Himself. There is an attribute of God he understood by mercy: God's faithfulness. God is forever faithful and committed to His purposes and plans. When we align our lives with His purposes and plans, He will always come through to protect and deliver us from the devil.
He will not only preserve us from the devil, He will bring us into His eternal kingdom in heaven. When we follow the paths He created for us day by day, we will eventually arrive in heaven. Enoch followed God in the same manner and God took him to heaven.
As our Lord Jesus taught us to pray, we must not take this provision for granted, we must ask God to deliver us from the devil and the evils in the world.
Everything He would be accomplishing in us and through us must be to the glory of His name forever. Amen.
ACTION PLAN: I must quit overrating the devil, my God is committed to delivering me from him. My part is to keep following in faith and obedience to His words.
