Our God is a Warrior that broke the bondage of the Israelites into pieces. He delivered them from a slavery of 430 years. He left the Egyptians with sorrows and tears. He has not changed. It is not in our place, as the church of Jesus Christ, to pray for the death of any mortal. Ours is to cry to Him for help, He knows what to do about the enemies. Today, our hearts are still heavy about the shootings that took place at the Lekki toll gates, in Lagos Nigeria due to #EndSARS protest. These were armless, peaceful protesters, but the enemies opened fire on them and destroyed many.
We may feel the emotion of anger, but we must pray to God to help us respond to hate with love. This will not be easy, but by the grace of God, we can do it.
