Just a warning, I wrote this to be depressing. It won't really make much since until I write The War: Emily's Time and I get to that point but here's a spoiler.
I'm sorry! I really am! Please Emily! Forgive me!" I turned to him, his red on black eyes shone with sorrow. I shook my head "I can't" I said, tears stinging my eyes. He sighed "Please Emily." he begged. "I didn't kill Cody." hearing his name hurt. It stung like a blade to my heart. "Emily, you know who did this, you know who has to pay." I bit my lip, forcing myself not to cuss Gambit out. I turned and left, my strawberry hair blowing around my face.
Looking down at my journal, the memories of the day still hurt. Since I ran away from hime Cody had been the closest thing to family, since Uncle Erik is to busy to be family. That was the sorrowful day the X-Men came and killed all my friends and family. That day I swore to have my revenge but Uncle Erik doesn't trust me. He thinks I can't control my powers. The only time I can leave the base is with Julian. But that girl, even as my cousin, is more trouble than she's worth. She struts around just as arrogantly as Pietro. Everyone just loved her and Siryn. No one around here can be trusted. Uncle Erik took me in then left me to do as I wish. Gambit is a their and a liar. Sabertooth...well he's Sabertooth. Pyro is insane. Pitor is keeping secrets. How can my uncle trust them and not me? I'm his niece for Pete's sakes! Yet he chooses them! Those who lost to the X-Men and are the reason Cody, the best person in my whole life, is dead! I slammed the journal shut. The only thing in my mind was this: The X-Men will pay.
