Today, talking with a nephew who is a stalwart SDA member, I was telling him about my blog here and if he wished to comment on it he would have to open an account with christianforums.com and agree to his support of the Nicene Creed. After a lifetime with the SDA and claiming to be a Christian he said he was not familiar with the Nicene Creed!! Where do we go from here? His wife intervened and tried to say that as Adventists they would not know about it, he said he would look into it at home.
How can we claim to be a Christian if we do not know about the Nicene Creed? We may not agree with all of it, there is one bit which I have reservations about, but on what basis do we begin to relate as Christians? Surely the Nicene Creed has to be good starting point? Thank you CF. God bless you.
