Ya so Continuation is the name of this now. It fits, cause Claudia's life is one big continuation of one story to another.
A few minutes later Claudia was on the ground, looking up at the bridge. Still standing there was the boy, he was just watching her. "Creeper much?" she muttered to herself before walking off down the busy street. All around her people rushed by, cars zoomed past floating off the ground. "Looks like what Howard was making." She commented to herself, weaving her way through the street. People dressed the same for the most part, but Claudia knew the clothes were probably made differently.
Looking at the buildings they were all made of the same glass, some were completely see through, excluding some rooms, others you couldn't see into at all, and some had graffiti covering the walls of all levels. As she walked down the street she saw a newspaper stand. She laughed slightly. "Guess some things never change." she thinks aloud as she walks over to it. She picks up a newspaper and looks at the date. May 18th 2099. Claudia drops the paper. "Dang. I was out for a lot longer than I thought." she said to herself.
The guy at the stand looked at her. "You ok?"
Claudia looked up at him, he was a simple man. Buzz cut hair, ball cap, grey tshirt and blue jeans. She nodded. "Ya. I was in a coma and its been longer than I thought."
The man nodded. "I see. We've had a lot of coma patients waking up. Charlie's suppose to be keeping them safe, as in off the streets."
Claudia glanced in the direction she'd come then looked back at the man. "You mean that white boy, looks about my age?"
He nodded. "Ya that's Charlie. He's a good kid, just gets into trouble a lot."
Claudia scoffed. "Why trust a kid to keep coma patients off the streets?"
The man took a sip of a drink sitting on the table. "He's more able than you'd think, not to mention most of the coma patients are kids or teens like yourself."
Claudia shook her head. "I don't think they're like me."
The man shrugged. "Well, I can't really say anything but Charlie can."
Claudia rolled her eyes. "I'm not talking to that flirtbag again."
The man chuckled. "I can understand that. Most girls get annoyed by that."
Claudia nodded. "I'm not most girls. Any place I can stay? Like a hotel or something?"
The man nodded. "Ya, just follow the road to Bannerman road and turn left. There'll be a cheap place there." he reached under the table and pulled out a wallet. He handed it to Claudia and said "Here, you'll need some money. It's not much but you'll be fine if you can manage it."
She flipped it open, it was a leather wallet, same as most any wallet back in 2012. Inside were several hundred dollar bills. Who is this guy kidding? I'll be fine with this much money. she thought to herself. She smiled and nodded. "Thanks." then turned to walk off.
She got a few steps before the man called out to her, she didn't turn to face him but she did stop walking. "Be careful. You seem like a good girl." Claudia wave behind her before she kept walking, thinking to herself I'm not as good as he'd like.
So that wasnt as long as i wanted, again, but its still longer than the last one. i hope ya liked it (tho i pretty much know for a fact that you do cause its awesome. haha jk, i dont have an ego that big) and are looking forward to the next part. i hope this wasnt as much of a cliff hanger as the last one.
