Confession Time?

it thinks it bes tuned right in and seeing things clear. maybe moreso than others. but what does it really know? does it not judge by outward appearances just as much as them humans do what it always complains of? bes it not just as prone to operating through unconscious bias, blind to itself, like any other?

what does it really know? it bes no better than anyone else -- finite, stuck in the confines of its own limits of thought and feeling and perception, prone to mistakes, like everyone else. what does it really know? others have no right to throw stones, they bes not sinless, but neither bes daimonizomai... what right has it to criticize anything, really?

what does it really know?

man looks on the outward appearance but the Lord looks on the heart. daimonizomai bes somewhere stuck in between. it can see the heart through the appearance, at least, it believes it can, based primarily upon extrapolations from observed and memorized patterns and traditional conclusions drawn therefrom. but what if its conclusions have always been in error? then all its improvements upon its own parsing system -- even down to its calibrations and adjustments to avoid future mistakes of the same sort as it may have caught itself making here or there in the past -- it means even those things bes fraught with potential disaster and mishap, hamartia and other taint. adjusting for error only works if the plumb contains a perfect measure to begin with; otherwise adjusting for error FROM a position or measure in error constitutes simply trading one error for another sort, does it not?

what does it really know?

God looks on the heart. He may look on one who appears obnoxious and full of themselves, bungling and blundering and imagining themselves some blessed chosen saint or prophet as they go, where everyone around them can plainly see they operate out of their own ignorance and arrogance .... or do they? aye there bes the rub and the crux here. do they? what sees God? maybe He HAS chosen them but here at the start of their career they like the rest of us have much growing to do and much pruning of the "heavenly gardener" to endure. perhaps God looks down and, seeing their HEART intention, smiles upon them and says "this bes My well beloved son (or daughter)!"

what does it know, really? Does God judge as a man, arbiting between disputing parties, taking sides, holding court? Jesus seems to suggest the opposite, in fact, in Luke 12:13-14: "Man, who made Me a judge or arbiter over you?" Moses' very first attempt to step out in his mission for God involved him attempting to settle a dispute by appealing to the brotherhood of the two who strove, but only resulted in one of them scorning him, asking whether if he did not comply, Moses would slay him as he'd slewn the Egyptian the other day. he sought to take up the mantle God conveyed upon him at the age of 40, but swiftly became discouraged when he realised no one else recognized his chosen status. Acts 7:25: "For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not." Thus fled he to Midian and did not come back to try again for another 40 years (dear Lord PLEASE don't let this be Moriah's lot too... :()

what does it really know? has it ever known anything? and yet like all others it must guard its heart against what others think they know, because that could always be far, far worse and far less compassionate. :(
