This beast is the Pennsylvania Railroad Q2. It is a 4-4-6-4 duplex drive steam locomotive. She generated nearly 8,000 horsepower (7,987 horsepower to be exact.)
I only wish one of her kind survived.
This Goliath is the Electro Motive DDA40X.
This beast has has two V16 diesel engine blocks. Each produces 3,300 horsepower. Multiply that by two and you get 6,600 horsepower. This is the single most powerful diesel-electric locomotive on Earth.
My personal favorite diesel-electric locomotive is the Electro Motive Division SD70ACE.
