The soft murmur of television voices comes from downstairs. In bed on my back, covers up to my neck, I stare up at the ceiling.
The soft light from my 3 way bulb covers everything with an odd orange color.
How did I get here?
Did I know this was coming?
What will I make of this life?
Why must it be so mysterious?
I realize my lips are in a slight smile. That's nice for a change. To be content.
She loves me, I think. I love her, I think. I trust her anyways, that doesn't come around everyday.
Popcorn is popping now. She is such a night owl.
Well, I can't lie here all night. Contemplating the life, the universe and everything. As much fun as it is, I have work at sun up.
Alarms on, lights off, eyes closed. I really am lucky. I need to remember that. Now for some sleep, brilliant.
