Boasting Of Our Weaknesses.

2Co 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

For some reason boasting of our weaknesses results in the power of Christ resting on us. Then why isn't this a focus in terms of application? I see a lot of focus on obedience, and law following, but this seems to be something that results in people hiding their weaknesses, and boasting they are strong ... and proclaiming everyone else is a sinner. Creating a game where the last one accusing is the winner, by drawing attention away from their weaknesses, and directing blame to your own.

However, the principle still remains, if we boast of our weaknesses, then Christ's power will rest on us. So how would this look like in a Christ-like leadership structure? I cannot imagine a pastor who plays to his or her weaknesses, they need to stand strong and above the flock - showing weakness is a sin. Hey, maybe it's different for you, but if that's so, the whole world really needs to see more of it. Serious.

So in this I still see the application, I am weak ... and making this clearly known means having Christ's power resting on me is my priority. What is your priority?

I wrote this, so those who are also application minded, can also partake in this blessing. If it's not for you, maybe you need to ask why?

Blessings
