For a long time I've felt far from God.
When I've asked people to pray for me it feels better for a while. But then after a few days it goes back to the old way again. I've been thinking about this and wondered why?
The answer is pretty simple...I've been expecting God to make all the work while I do...nothing.
If one of my friends wanted to work on the friendship, I would expect him/her to make some effort to make things better and not just leave it all up to me. And that is exactly what I have been doing!! Boy do I feel stupid and ashamed. But at least I figured it out so I can make some changes.
Things I need to do:
Start praying..and not just talk to God..listen to Him as well.
Read His word...haven't been reading my bible that much lately either.
I know that in Matt 6:6 it says that one shouldn't do things out in the open but if I say it here then maybe some of you that reads this will ask me later on how things are going. So you guys and gals will sort of be my "peer pressure" to actually go through with it.
Don't get me wrong here...the honest and true reasons for me to do it is....I WANT TO GET CLOSER TO GOD!
