(And think to change times)
Daniel 7:25 is not referring to a pope changing the time of the sabbath, but to the future Antichrist, who could radically change the calendar to where he will even get rid of the seven-day week altogether, with its connotation to YHWH God and His seven-day creation of the world (Genesis 2:2). For the future Antichrist will utterly revile YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36).
The Antichrist could do what the atheists of the French Revolution did: Change the calendar to one consisting of ten-day weeks. Then he could say that every month will consist of three of these ten-day weeks, so that a year will consist of twelve months of thirty days each. But because this will make a year last only 360 days, he could add a five or six-day holiday period at the end of the year.
Like they did in the French Revolution, the Antichrist could also change the names of the twelve months to whatever pleases him. And he could change the names of his ten days of the week to whatever pleases him.
The Antichrist's changing of "times" could even extend to the hour, minute, and second. For he could replace the sixty-second minute with a ten-second "new minute", and the sixty-minute hour with a ten-new-minute "new hour", so that the decimal-based metric system will finally be extended to time-keeping.
But because a new, 100-second new-hour would mean that there would be 864 new-hours in a day, the Antichrist could change the length of the second to a "new-second" consisting of about 86.4 of our current seconds, so that there will be exactly ten new-hours in a day. Times shorter than the new-second will be metric: the deci-new-second, the centi-new-second (about .864 the length of our current second), the milli-new-second, etc.
So the Antichrist's "changing of times" could seem pretty neat to the world (and to metric-system-loving scientists): ten days in a week, ten hours in a day, ten minutes in an hour, and ten seconds in a minute.
This could be sold to the world as part of a "New World Order", as a way (in the future Antichrist's words) of "finally shedding all of the archaic time-keeping systems and replacing them with a modern and scientific system of time-keeping in line with the metric system of weights and measures which has already proven to be such a boon to mankind".
~
(Re: But why keep twelve months instead of converting to a ten-month year?)
Because the Antichrist will not be able to change how many lunar cycles there are in year, just as he will not be able to change how many days there are in a year. That is, the whole idea of the "month" is tied to the moon (how long it takes to orbit the earth), just as the whole idea of the year is tied to the sun (how long it takes the earth to orbit the sun). This will no doubt rankle the Antichrist, as it will be a continual reminder of the wisdom of YHWH God, who was the one who created the moon and the sun in the first place (Genesis 1:14-16).
~
(Re: Regarding a ten-day week, how would that work-out with regard to workdays and days of rest?)
A ten-day week could start out with three days of work, then have a day of rest, then have four days of work and two days of rest.
So in a thirty-day (three-week) month, people will end up having about the same number of work days (21) and rest days (9) that they have now:
1. Work, 2. Work, 3. Work, 4. Rest, 5. Work, 6. Work, 7. Work, 8. Work, 9. Rest, 10. Rest,
11. Work, 12. Work, 13. Work, 14. Rest, 15. Work, 16. Work, 17. Work, 18. Work, 19. Rest, 20. Rest,
21. Work, 22. Work, 23. Work, 24. Rest, 25. Work, 26. Work, 27. Work, 28. Work, 29. Rest, 30. Rest.
Also, people would still have two-day weekends, as well as a mid-work-week day of rest.
~
(Re: Why mess with the week at all?)
As was suggested above, the future Antichrist could go out of his way to reject YHWH God's seven-day week (of Exodus 23:12, Exodus 20:11) as part of his rejection of YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36).

*Daniel 7:27 / *Dan. 7:27 -
Daniel 7:27a refers to the rule of the future, earthly aspect of the Kingdom of God being given to the people in the Church. After Jesus Christ's future, Second Coming (Revelation 19:7 to 20:3), those in the (at that time) physically resurrected Church will be the kings and priests who will rule on the earth with Jesus for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4-6, Revelation 5:10, Revelation 2:26-29), a time period commonly called the Millennium. There will also be non-Christians on the earth during that time, who will not be given the Kingdom, but will be its forced subjects (Psalms 66:3-7, Psalms 72:8-11, Zechariah 14:16-19), ruled over with a rod of iron by Jesus and the Church (Psalms 2:7-9, Revelation 2:26-29).
And even the earthly aspect of the Kingdom "is an everlasting kingdom" (Daniel 7:27). So sometime after the future Millennium and subsequent events (Revelation 20:7-15), the earthly aspect of the Kingdom will continue forever on a New Earth (Revelation 21:1-4, Revelation 22:5), as in a new surface for the earth.
Daniel 7:27b refers to all dominions serving Jesus Christ. After His future, Second Coming (Zechariah 14:3-5), He will be King over the whole earth (Zechariah 14:9, Psalms 72:8-11), ruling all nations from the earthly Jerusalem (Micah 4:1-4, Zechariah 14:8-21).

*Daniel 8 / *Dan. 8 -
Here the ram represented the ancient empire of the Medes and Persians (Daniel 8:20). The goat represented the ancient empire of the Greeks, beginning with Alexander the Great (Daniel 8:21). After he died, his empire broke up into four Diadochian Greek kingdoms (Daniel 8:22).
Daniel 8:8-9,21-25 means that the future Antichrist will come from a country the territory of which used to be part of one of these four Diadochian Greek kingdoms. For Daniel 8:9 means that the Antichrist will come out of the territory of one of the four kingdoms referred to in Daniel 8:22. And while Antiochus IV could have fulfilled Daniel 8:9,23-25 typically, the Antichrist will fulfill it antitypically. The Antichrist will fulfill Daniel 8:24a because he will be mighty, but not by his own power (Revelation 13:4; 2 Thessalonians 2:9). And he will fulfill Daniel 8:24b because he will prosper, and physically destroy the holy people, the Church (Revelation 13:7-10, Revelation 14:12-13, Revelation 20:4-6, Matthew 24:9-13). And he will fulfill Daniel 8:25a because he will magnify himself (2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 11:36). And he will fulfill Daniel 8:25b because he will stand up against the Prince of princes (Revelation 19:19), Jesus Christ, but will be broken without hand (Revelation 19:20).

(*2300)
In Daniel 8:14 the original Hebrew words (`ereb: H6153; and boqer: H1242) translated as "days" mean "evenings" and "mornings" (Daniel 8:26) in reference to the evening and morning lamb sacrifices of the Mosaic law (Exodus 29:38-42). So the 2,300 evenings and mornings can be 1,150 days. These could have been fulfilled in the time of Antiochus IV. And Daniel 8:14b could refer to the cleansing of the temple under Judas Maccabeus.

*Daniel 8:25 / *Dan. 8:25 -
The original Hebrew word (sekel: H7922) translated as "his policy" can refer to his intelligence, in the sense of his "prudence" (cf. 2 Chronicles 2:12).
The Hebrew word (mirmah: H4820) translated as "craft" can mean "deceit" (Psalms 50:19).

(*70 weeks)
Note that the Bible nowhere says or requires that the seventy weeks (Daniel 9:24) are for the letter of the Old Covenant Mosaic law.
(See the "Law" section of Ephesians 2:15 below)
Also, the seventy "weeks" (Daniel 9:24) do not have to be literal, but can refer to seventy "sevens" of years. For the original Hebrew word (shabuwa`: H7620) translated as "week" can mean "seven" (Ezekiel 45:21).
~
In Daniel 9:24, "to seal up the vision and prophecy" can include reference to how the Spiritual gifts of vision and prophecy (Joel 2:28; 1 Corinthians 12:10-11), like some other gifts of God's Holy Spirit, will stop operating after Jesus Christ's future, Second Coming (1 Corinthians 13:8-12, Zechariah 13:3-6). For the original Hebrew word (chatham: H2856) translated as "to seal up" in Daniel 9:24 can mean "to make an end", just as the same word is used earlier in Daniel 9:24 in the phrase: "to make an end [chatham] of sins".
--
*Daniel 9:26 / *Dan. 9:26 -
The original Hebrew word (karath: H3772) translated as "cut off" can refer to when a peace treaty/covenant is "made" (Genesis 21:27). The first century AD fulfillment of Daniel 9:26a was at the Crucifixion, when the true Messiah, Jesus, made the New Covenant (Matthew 26:28, Hebrews 9:15-17). But a future fulfillment of Daniel 9:26a will be when the Antichrist makes a peace treaty, which will be a fulfillment of the covenant in Daniel 9:27 and the league in Daniel 11:23, with a future, ultra-Orthodox Jewish false "Messiah" in Jerusalem, after he and his followers are militarily defeated by the Antichrist (Daniel 11:22-23). So this future fulfillment of Daniel 9:26a can refer to this false Messiah being "cut off" in the sense of being "covenanted", peace-treatied.
(See paragraphs 2-3 of Daniel 9:27 below)
~
(Re: Did God put a *gap in His Word?)
Note that even in preterism, there was a gap of decades between the first century AD fulfillment of Daniel 9:26a and the first century AD fulfillment of Daniel 9:26b. For first century AD Jerusalem was not destroyed until 70 AD, decades after the Crucifixion. Also, there will be a gap of seven years between the future fulfillment of Daniel 9:26a and the future fulfillment of Daniel 9:26b. For the present Jerusalem will not be destroyed until right before and at Jesus Christ's future, Second Coming (Zechariah 14:2-21), about seven years after the future Antichrist "cuts" a seven-year peace treaty (Daniel 9:26a,27a) with a future, ultra-Orthodox Jewish false "Messiah" (Daniel 9:26a, Daniel 11:22-23a) who will be ruling Jerusalem at the start (and then during the first half) of the possibly seven-year, future Tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24.
(See the section above)

(Re: Who will destroy the city and sanctuary? And is Jesus Christ Himself the city and sanctuary?)
Jesus Christ is not the city in Daniel 9:26. Instead, it is Jerusalem (Daniel 9:25), "thy [Daniel's] holy city" (Daniel 9:24,18-20,16,12,7,2).
In the first century AD fulfillment of Daniel 9:26b,27b, Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD by Roman-empire soldiers from nations throughout the Roman empire (which included the territory of modern-day Lebanon). These soldiers were "the people" in Daniel 9:26, their "prince" being Titus. In the future fulfillment of Daniel 9:26b, Jerusalem will be destroyed by soldiers from all of the nations of the earth, which will be under the future Antichrist's rule (Revelation 13:7b) when their armies gather against Jerusalem right before Jesus Christ's future, Second Coming (Zechariah 14:2-21).
And just as the city in Daniel 9:26 is Jerusalem, so the sanctuary is the Jewish temple building in Jerusalem. In the first century AD fulfillment of Daniel 9:26b, the second Jewish temple was destroyed in 70 AD by Roman-empire soldiers. In the future fulfillment of Daniel 9:26b, a future, third Jewish temple (Revelation 11:1-2, Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:31,36; 2 Thessalonians 2:4) will be destroyed along with the rest of Jerusalem (Matthew 24:2, Luke 19:44), when Jerusalem is pillaged by armies from all of the nations of the earth, right before Jesus Christ's future, Second Coming to save and restore Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:2-21).

(Re: How could the *62 weeks have a future fulfillment?)
The time frame in Daniel 9:26a could have a future fulfillment in which an ultra-Orthodox Jewish false "Messiah" in Israel will have a peace treaty "cut" with him 62 literal weeks after he and his ultra-Orthodox Jewish followers take control of the Old City of Jerusalem. If this is the case, then the seven weeks in Daniel 9:25 could have a preceding, future fulfillment in which there will be seven literal weeks between the time that this false Messiah first commands his followers to take control of the Old City of Jerusalem (which includes the Temple Mount) -- and restore it to perfect kosher holiness and rebuild any (by that time) damaged portions of it and its wall -- and the time that they will actually take control of the Old City, and the false Messiah begins ruling there.
(See section 1 of Daniel 9:26 above)
--
*Daniel 9:27 / *Dan. 9:27 -
See Daniel 9:26 above...
This treaty will allow this false "Messiah" and his followers to keep a third Jewish temple which they will have built on Jerusalem's Temple Mount (after they and/or great earthquakes have destroyed the Muslim structures there), and to (mistakenly) continue to perform the daily Mosaic animal sacrifices in front of the temple for at least seven years (Daniel 9:27a), so long as they give up the outer court of the temple (Revelation 11:2a) to the Muslims so that they can rebuild the (by that time destroyed) Al Aqsa Mosque on the southern end of the Temple Mount and resume worship there. After "cutting" this peace treaty (Daniel 9:26a), the future Antichrist could appear before the "many" (Daniel 9:27) nations represented at the U.N. General Assembly, and "confirm" (Daniel 9:27) that for at least seven years he will keep this treaty with the ultra-Orthodox Jews in Jerusalem, using this as purported proof to the world that he is (in his words) "a man of peace, and no Hitler".
In Daniel 9:27, "he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease" refers to when, only some 3.5 years after making the peace treaty of Daniel 9:26a,27a and Daniel 11:23a, the future Antichrist will break the treaty, attack the third temple...

(Re: Did the New Covenant continue for 3.5 years after Jesus Christ's Crucifixion, and then end, or go out to Gentiles?)
The New Covenant has never ended, and will never end. For it is the "everlasting covenant" by which all people in the Church, whether Jews or Gentiles, are saved from hell (Hebrews 13:20, Hebrews 9:15, Matthew 26:28; 1 Corinthians 11:25; 2 Corinthians 3:6). Also, the New Covenant did not wait for 3.5 years to go out to Gentiles, for some Gentiles were already a part of the Church as early as Acts 6:1. And Jesus had commanded right after His resurrection that His Gospel be preached to every nation (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20).
(See also Jeremiah 31:31 above)
~
(Overspreading of abominations)
When Daniel 9:27 says: "for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate", this is the same as "the abomination that maketh desolate" in Daniel 11:31, when the future Antichrist (the individual-man aspect of Revelation's "beast") will make a future, third Jewish temple in Jerusalem spiritually desolate by placing a (possibly android) image of himself (Revelation 13:15) in the holy place of the temple (Matthew 24:15) to be worshipped, and by sitting himself (at least one time) in the temple and proclaiming himself God (2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 11:36).
In Daniel 9:27 the original Hebrew word (kanaph: H3671) translated as "overspreading" can mean a wing (1 Kings 6:24). But it does not have to mean that every time that it is used. For it can also mean "the uttermost part" (Isaiah 24:16). The "overspreading" or "uttermost part" nature of the abomination of desolation could mean that it will involve not just the holy place of the temple, but the entire temple. For example, what the future Antichrist could do is engrave the gematrial number of his name, "666" (Revelation 13:17b-18), all over the temple, within and without, top to bottom, thereby completely defiling it, rendering it spiritually desolate.
The future Antichrist will be a Luciferian (Satanist), bringing the world into the conscious and open worship of Lucifer (Satan, the dragon) (Revelation 13:4, Revelation 12:9), and railing against YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36). The Antichrist will want to utterly defile the future, third Jewish temple to YHWH in Jerusalem (which will be built by the ultra-Orthodox Jews) so that he can poke his finger in YHWH's eye, so to speak, and purportedly show the world (what he could call) "YHWH's powerlessness to defend the place which he himself has chosen" (cf. Zechariah 3:2). The Antichrist could claim that his ability to commit the abomination of desolation with impunity proves (in his words) "that YHWH cannot thwart the will of our Lord Lucifer, who empowers me" (compare what 2 Thessalonians 2:9, Revelation 13:4, and Revelation 12:9 say).
(See also 2 Thessalonians 2:4 below)
But YHWH will permit the Antichrist and Lucifer to rule the world for less than four years (Daniel 12:11-12) before they are defeated at Jesus Christ's future, Second Coming (Revelation 19:19 to 20:3).
(See also Revelation 13:4 below)
--
*Daniel 10:20 / *Dan. 10:20 -
This refers to the fallen angelic princes who have been assigned by Satan to rule spiritually over Persia (Iran) and Greece, just as all other nations have had fallen angelic princes placed over them by Satan (compare what Ephesians 6:12 says).
~
We must always remember that non-Christian Iran (Persia) is ultimately empowered by a very strong fallen-angelic prince of Satan, one so powerful that he was even allowed by YHWH God to hinder the angel of YHWH from reaching the Jewish prophet Daniel for three full weeks (Daniel 10:13-21, Ephesians 6:12).
But YHWH God and His angels are more powerful than Satan and his angels (Daniel 10:20-21, Revelation 12:7-9).
Also, while the present state of Israel could still be completely defeated and occupied in our future by the (Arab) Baathists (Daniel 11:15-17; in verse 17 the original Hebrew word translated as "daughter" is "bath"), instead of ever being occupied by (Persian) Iran, we must always remember that Iran, along with all other nations of the earth, will still be ultimately defeated and ruled by Jesus Christ at His future, Second Coming (Revelation 19:11 to 20:3).

(Re: Does the Bible show the binding of territorial spirits?)
The Bible does not forbid it. And the Bible shows that Christians can affect the binding and loosing of things in "heaven" (Matthew 18:18). And the Bible shows that there are territorial spirits in the sense of fallen angelic beings (Daniel 10:20) who reside in "high places" (Ephesians 6:12), and whom the Church "wrestles against" (Ephesians 6:12).

The original Hebrew word (kalah: H3615) translated as "consumed" can mean to "cease" (Isaiah 10:25). So Daniel 11:16 can mean that the future Antichrist's precursor, who could be an Iraqi Baathist General (Daniel 11:17), will cause the current nation-state of Israel (in "the pleasant land", Daniel 8:9) to cease its existence as a nation-state. For Israel could be completely defeated and occupied by the Antichrist's precursor (Daniel 11:15-17). Then all of Israel's territory, including the so-called West Bank and Gaza Strip, could be declared to be a new nation-state called "United Palestine".

(Re: Regarding a ten-day week, how would that work-out with regard to workdays and days of rest?)
A ten-day week could start out with three days of work, then have a day of rest, then have four days of work and two days of rest.
So in a thirty-day (three-week) month, people will end up having about the same number of work days (21) and rest days (9) that they have now:
1. Work, 2. Work, 3. Work, 4. Rest, 5. Work, 6. Work, 7. Work, 8. Work, 9. Rest, 10. Rest,
11. Work, 12. Work, 13. Work, 14. Rest, 15. Work, 16. Work, 17. Work, 18. Work, 19. Rest, 20. Rest,
21. Work, 22. Work, 23. Work, 24. Rest, 25. Work, 26. Work, 27. Work, 28. Work, 29. Rest, 30. Rest.
Also, people would still have two-day weekends, as well as a mid-work-week day of rest.

Daniel 8 being in Hebrew does not mean that it applies only to Jews, just as Daniel 11 being in Hebrew does not mean that it applies only to Jews.

In Daniel 8:9 the pleasant land would be Israel (Psalms 106:24, Zechariah 7:14, Jeremiah 3:18-19).

*Daniel 8:14 / *Dan. 8:14 -

*Daniel 8:23-25 / *Dan. 8:23 -
See Daniel 8(space) above.
~
In Daniel 8:23 the king having a fierce countenance (face) could be a way of saying that he is cruel (cf. Deuteronomy 28:50).
--
*Daniel 8:25 / *Dan. 8:25 -
The original Hebrew word (sekel: H7922) translated as "his policy" can refer to his intelligence, in the sense of his "prudence" (cf. 2 Chronicles 2:12).
The Hebrew word (mirmah: H4820) translated as "craft" can mean "deceit" (Psalms 50:19).
--
*Daniel 9:2 / *Dan. 9:2 -
(Seventy years)
See Jeremiah 29:10 above.
--
*Daniel 9:24 / *Dan. 9:24 -

(Re: Consider the *Brownsville Revival's failure to change its city)
What do they do exactly?
And how does their one case prove or disprove any or all other cases?
Also, who has said that the Church will "win" any city in this fallen world before Jesus Christ returns?

Not all of Daniel 11 has been fulfilled, even though parts of it may have been fulfilled, and other parts typically fulfilled.

*Daniel 11:4 / *Dan. 11:4 -
This refers to the breaking up of the Greek empire of Alexander the Great, after his death in the fourth century BC, into four Diadochian Greek kingdoms pictured by the four heads of the third beast in Daniel 7:6. The Greek empire was also represented by the brass portion of the image in Daniel 2.

*Daniel 11:14 / *Dan. 11:14 -
Daniel 11:14a could refer antitypically to a future time when many nations will stand up against Egypt and its hegemon the U.S. for their support of Israel, whether supporting it actively or tacitly.
Daniel 11:14b could refer to some ultra-Orthodox Jews completely destroying the Muslim Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque, on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, to clear the site for their building of the third Jewish temple.

*Daniel 11:16 / *Dan. 11:16 -
The original Hebrew word (kalah: H3615) translated as "consumed" can mean to "cease" (Isaiah 10:25).
