How can any upstanding Catholic forum not have a thread on this ;)

For those who like either, what are you prefs? I'm all over the map.....

And while not a snob for either (ugh that pretentiousness makes me ill), I don't drink utter swill either.

Wine I like all kinds, but tend to go reds in winter, whites in summer.

Beer similar...darker, heavier stuff in winter, lighter in the summer.

You?

I like red wine most of the year even though I drink around one glass a week rather than one with every meal. White wines are rather good in summer if they've been chilled. I prefer dry wines but sweet wines are nice too.

My preferred tipple is whisky, but that too is usually one shot a week taken while playing broad games with friends on a Sunday night. It makes for a nice close of the day sort of drink.

I've never been fond of beer. Something about the smell bothers me I guess.

lol

They are many excellent breweries all over the country now.

True, but the East Coast really is hard to beat. I think Sam Adams is swill, but my 3 favorite breweries (Alchemist, Lawson's, and OEC) are all in VT or CT. Unfortunately, it takes a strategically-placed friend who doesn't mind doing favors to get them here.

I disagree and I'm on the East Coast. :) They're everywhere, honest.

First, consume these beers two..Alchemist Heady Topper and Lawson's Sip of Sunshine. I wish, oh how I wish! - that there was something else like them somewhere. Anywhere. Crazy good.

I am sure that it's a liqueur as wikipedia says: Southern Comfort is an American liqueur made from neutral spirits with fruit, spice and whiskey flavoring. The brand was originally created by bartender Martin Wilkes Heron in New Orleans in 1874, and is now owned by the Brown-Forman Corporation.
