I thought that I'd stop by CF to see how everyone is doing since it has been a while. It seems I can no longer post or like comments in the "Life Stages" section which really surprised me! A lot must have changed here since I have been away...

Yes. Sorry I didn't see your post until now. Didn't so much as make a blister, though it did sting a little while. I had just finished replacing a terminal block for a stove top element, and they come with a couple of shrink wrap tubes to place over the wire nuts to make sure they don't come off. Had shrunk it in place and checked to make sure the element worked, and was picking up tools. Thought it had been long enough, and grabbed the heat gun by the nozzle.

It wasn't long enough.

Mistake #1 was picking it up by the nozzle in the first place. Mistake #2 was thinking it had cooled down.

Not as bad as picking up a hot soldering iron by mistake...

So far, this snowstorm hasn't materialized.

Spent all that time worrying for nothing. I will say this is probably the best winter I've had in living memory. Already mid-January and barely any snow. Thank you, global warming, or whatever it is.

Wow! It's negative temperatures here. Not a fan of any extreme temperatures.

since my fall three years ago if I put my head in a certain angle

everything around me starts swaying,

unpleasant.

Bob Saget. He was a raunchy comedian who is probably ironically most famous for playing a TV Dad on a very lighthearted and corny sitcom during the late 80s and 90s. He hit his head from a fall and died shortly after.

Head injuries are not to be trifled with. Once came up on a minor wreck, where someone ran off the road. They seemed fine, but their condition rapidly deteriorated. An ambulance arrived rather quickly, took the driver to the hospital, where they made a full recovery.

I will say this is probably the best winter I've had in living memory.

Same down here. I can't remember a warmer winter. It's been wonderful. Until yesterday when the low was 17 F, but this cold snap is only supposed to last about 3 days.
