The Validity of Salvation

Jesus opened the gate to heaven

That is how you save yourself.

This is the doctrine of Christ.

so then, did Jesus mis-state in John 5:24 - “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

Do you have to earn those rewards in eternity?

A. Yes, I have to earn them.
B. No, I do not have to earn them.

The key will be the context and being saved from WHAT, specifically.

Truth is never out of context.

Not even when they say it is.

That is one thing I love about truth.

It cannot be changed to fit the context

God does not do anything that is not worth

For example if you are not worth it to be saved
God is not going to save you.

Salvation IS free. Eternal life is a free gift of God: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6:23

Scripture disagrees with your opinion.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life." Jn 3:16

God considers the world worth saving and so sent His Son, to take away the sin of the world. Jn 1:29
