Poor Puppy!

We found this poor dog at the river yesterday where we go swimming. He looked like he'd been dumped. Cuz he was just laying at the start of the park staring up the road, like he was waiting.

After the whole day, he was still there, so I begged my husband and we brought him home. I just opened the door, and he jumped on in! LOL!

We gave him a bath, and he was so matted, I cut off a bunch of fur. But he also has chunks of fur missing.

I'm going to try to get him into an adoption program here in St Louis. He's old and deaf, but he's a sweet dog. I'd hate for him to be put to sleep.

How could you NOT love this big ole scruffy mess?!!

There is NO way I could have left him there alone!

I just hope we can find him a family. My husband says there is NO way we can keep him! LOL!

I'm so glad you took him home. Maybe he got lost? You might could put an ad in the paper under "lost and found". Someone might be looking for him.

Awww! Poor old guy. I hope you find his owners. If he's old and blind, he might live very close, but not know how to get home.

He might have a microchip that they could scan and track. I hope he finds a home whether it be old or new.

I think that's Mange..when a dog's hair falls out..some kind of skin disease. I love dogs and cats..so that's good of you to do that. The cat we have now was actually a kitten we found just wandering around outside..no owners ever claimed it after we put up signs..so we just took it in and now he's a regular pet of ours.
