Men actually commit more crimes than women.

And black people in the US commit more crimes than white people.

Or at least that's what the stats tell us on the face of it. Maybe there is bias in play with both - particularly given that women are privileged with the sentencing gap.

This is likely a consequence of America's history of institutionalised racism like segregation and job discrimination.
