please help - friend is crashing in depression

I have a friend who was a victim of child sexual abuse... recently in new years eve when she was cleaning her house... she came across a photo of when she was little... which triggered her memories and now she is CRASHING in haunting fear and depression


she's seen her therapist but I don't think it helped...I haved tried everything and nothing is helping her...

I myself suffer anxiety and depression and I have experienced being completely 'lost' from such emotions... although not as bad as her... she dissociates


I miss seeing the happy and smiling her so much

if you guys can share any useful bible verses that will be greatly appreciated

Poor girl.
Psalm 119:81 helped me realize that we have hope even when we're going through a mess.
This girl has serious damage to deal with. It sounds like PTSD, things that trigger flashbacks and such. Hold her and let her cry if she needs that.
My counselor said it's good to get stuff out, even if it seems overly repetitive.
I've got PTSD, but I havent' experienced the nightmare she lives with for sure.
She's not alone. There are a few others here who have gone through what she has.

she dissociates? meaning she prolly has DID?

hun', its outta ur hands, when she'll hide behind one of her other alters. it'll keep her feeling safe tho. all u can do is let her know u care.
