How do you know gravity exists?

According to modern cosmological Fairie Dust belief's it doesn't.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_relativity

"General relativity is a metric theory of gravitation. At its core are Einstein's equations, which describe the relation between the geometry of a four-dimensional, pseudo-Riemannian manifold representing spacetime, and the energy–momentum contained in that spacetime.[33] Phenomena that in classical mechanics are ascribed to the action of the force of gravity (such as free-fall, orbital motion, and spacecraft trajectories), correspond to inertial motion within a curved geometry of spacetime in general relativity; there is no gravitational force deflecting objects from their natural, straight paths. Instead, gravity corresponds to changes in the properties of space and time, which in turn changes the straightest-possible paths that objects will naturally follow."

You're saying that ordinary EM waves are capable of warping space-time????

Maybe it's possible to use the Schrodinger equation to generate an ever increasing amplitude standing wave in space fed by quantum vacuum fluctuation to warp space in ever increasing amount either to drive a space vehicle or create artificial wormhole.

We have observational and empirical evidence that objects attract each other with a force that varies with their mass and is inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them. We call this attractive force gravity. We say it exists because the universe we observe behaves in way consistent with such a force existing. What causes it is another matter ;)

Gravity is the term used for the concept of the mass of one object attracting the mass of another.

Using that definition I can test, every day, that in action. If I drop something it is attracted to the earth - every single time. I can also predict that if I drop the same thing tomorrow exactly the same thing will happen again. And again and again. Without variation.

It certainly seems to exist.

BINGO! That's the answer I was looking for.

We know gravity exists, because we can see the effects of it.

Does anyone disagree?

That is only the first step. From the observed facts, a hypothesis must be derived that explains the observations. Then, that hypothesis must make predictions, and those predictions must validate the theory.

Example: Apples falling down could be explained by the earth accelerating upwards.

Faith circumvents all that.

I'm sure aboriginals are aware of ... and believe in ... gravity.

Without all that hullabaloo.
