Instability in Venezuela has led to higher numbers of Venezuelans crossing our southern border over the last two years. Every day, Venezuelans (and others from all parts of the world, including Africa) are coming across the Darian Gap - an area between Panama and Colombia that was once deemed impassable. Once more, Venezeula has nearly the same population as the "Northern Triangle" countries of El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras - combined. IMO, insecurity in many parts of the world is leading to record numbers of immigrants...who are fleeing to Europe and increasingly our southern border. When other countries fail, it impacts us all.
