And the Pevensie children hide from the housekeeper...
Hiding, because you realise you're wrong, and just having your wrongs ignored, or even encouraged are two very different things.

Perhaps not to a moral relativist as Rowling is, but I don't think that's very Chrisitan.

With the best will in the world, I think you are over analysing this.

Nope. But its possible HEs over analysing it too.

People used to have a lot more respect for priests.

I don't know if it was you, but someone said that it was hearsay. I forgot to mention though that this isn't a court of law and judging by what passes off as evidence on these threads... oh, well.

I didn't even like Prince Caspian (the film).

I prefer Lord of the Rings.

I don't follow the teachings of Rahab.

Nice dodge. But I didn't say anything about her "teachings," whatever they may have been. I inquired about her actions -- actions which garnered her a mention in the honored "Hall of Faith" in Hebrews 11. Do you follow the "teachings" of the author of Hebrews? Apparently that author considered her actions to be an act of "faith." Apparently the moral wrong of lying was relatively overshadowed by the fact that it was done to save lives.

I have immense respect for priests. I don't think they are infallible though.

And no, I wasn't saying anything about hearsay.

I'm going to see it this coming Saturday.

Dare I ask how true it is to the actual book?

I don't want to ruin how terrible it is...but not very true. Then again I'm very picky when it comes to that sort of stuff. Many people I know liked the film.

I think that the best review I read was Slate's where they called it "90210 with owls"
