If we used your viewpoint, then no one could. Thanks goodness we have many other source to choose from.

No, many of us do understand Islam. Unfortunately, we keep running into people such as yourself who insist on defending that wicked and diabolical religion.

I'm not defending a religion, I'm talking about the people within a religion. There are good and bad in every religion.

Islam is not made up of bad people. Many, many Muslims are a very peaceful. Something it seems that some far right Christians have a problem comprehending.

Already asked this but maybe it got mixed in and lost in all the other posts, so here goes again-

The KKK claims to follow the Bible, does that mean Christianity is responsible for a lynching at the base of a burning cross?

Let them claim to follow the Bible all they like. The proof is in their actions. By comparing their actions to the teachings of the Bible, they clearly are not Christians.

By comparing the actions of the terrorists to the teachings of the Quaran, they are clearly Muslims.

Then they're not good Muslims.

Peaceful Muslims can quote from the Quran to show their reasons and can also show why the extremist are wrong.

Faith.man recently posted some thread showing an old ally of Ben Laden condemning his actions as being un-Islamic. Here is the site.
Old Friend Challenges Bin Laden « Liveshots

On the anniversary of the 9-11 terror attacks in the United States, a former associate of Osama bin Laden has written a lengthy open letter to the Al

Qaeda leader, highly critical of the organization’s actions, and laying out all the negative repercussions of them, on the entire world, both Muslim and non-Muslim.

Noman Benotman, a former Libyan Islamic Fighting Group commander, who fought in the Afghan war against the Soviets alongside Osama bin Laden, writes to the Al Qaeda number one:

“I write to you as a former comrade-in-arms. We fought together. We were ready to die together. Under the banner of Islam, we came to the aid of fellow Muslims in Afghanistan. To this day, I take pride in having fought against the Soviets and the Communists. We were in the right and no enemy could have stood in our way. This is no longer the case. After our victory, we became a curse for the very people we sought to help.”

“What has the 11th of September brought to the world except mass killings, occupations, destruction, hatred of Muslims, humiliation of Islam, and a tighter grip on the lives of ordinary Muslims by the authoritarian regimes that control Arab and Muslim states? "

“Your actions have harmed millions of innocent Muslims and non-Muslims alike. How is this Islam or jihad? For how much longer will al-Qaeda continue to bring shame on Islam, disrupt ordinary Muslims’ lives, and be the cause of global unrest?”

“Muslims across the world have rejected your calls for wrongful jihad and the establishment of your so-called ‘Islamic state’ when they witnessed the form this has taken in Iraq. Even the Palestinians consider your ‘help’ to have had negative repercussions on their cause.”

“In New York, your un-Islamic actions have caused hurt, loss, pain and anguish to thousands of innocent people and their families. One consequence is that those Muslims seeking to build a House of God in New York are today being compared to Nazis. And now we hear that on the anniversary of your attack, an American preacher is even planning to burn the Koran in revenge!”

Auburn88, I believe this is pointless. Anyone that thinks Islam teaches violence is very uniformed and can in no way debate anything related to Islam.

Anyone that believes God would like him carrying a gun to church is also uniformed on the teachings of Christ.

I am amazed that anyone could believe the pure garbage you are spewing.

So then, Muslims did it because they were following the teachings of the Quaran, which is the book ALL Muslims claim to follow, but Islam isn't responsible?

There is nothing in the Qur'an which requires or even asks Muslims to do what a few Radical members of an Islamic Sect did on Sept. 11, 2001.

Why? Jesus was constantly around people with swords and yet, He never told anybody not to wear a sword. Jesus commanded His disciples to buy swords. Jesus said that when He returns, He will return with a sword.

What's the problem?

Auburn88, have you ever read Matthew 26:52
“Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.” (King James Version)

Wonder what Jesus meant?

It meant, "Hey, idiot, do you really think you can beat a whole squad of Roman soldiers by yourself? Your temper is going to get you killed!"

With Jesus standing there, you don't think they could have defeated the Romans???

Wonder why He said "all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword" instead of "if you take the sword this crowd will kill you and I can't do anything about that"?

Of course. He defeated tens of thousands of Egyptians, so defeating twelve Romans would have been no problem.

Wonder why He said "all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword" instead of "if you take the sword this crowd will kill you and I can't do anything about that"?

Do you know what an axiom is?
