If you read the original Mesopotamian versions of the story it is a round reed boat sealed with bitumen (tar). It bubbles to the surface in some places like in Mesopotamia.

That is pretty cool. And hey, since Mesopotamia had tar fields, that means that oil was, and still is near there. Something we need to use sparingly in the 21st century as there have been wars over oil, and our climate is heating up, but hey, this is not a fossil fuel forum, and even still, electric cars are not quite ready yet.
