Mods, can you change the title to "An exhortation from the Lord" ? Thanks

Okay, everyone, bear with me, cuz this is kind of long. It began as an actual topic, but changed over to an exhortation as I began typing it.

Here it is. Enjoy. I hope it lifts your heart as it lifted mine.

When others mistreat us over the years, it is like when you walk on a certain patch of grass; at first the grass bounces back up, then it doesn't bounce back up so far, then ultimately it is trodden down and turned into a path. It has become fallow ground.

But the Lord says to us, "Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you." - Hosea 10:12

The Lord says, "Break up your fallow ground." The time is now to seek the Lord, because he wants to bring righteousness upon you.

The parable tells us that the sower when forth to sow, and some of the seed fell among thorns, some fell on stony ground, some fell on good ground, and some fell by the wayside. And it says of those where the word is sown among thorns, "And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful."

And when we have been hurt or filled with the pain of these thorns, it is like literal thorny ground which grows around the word of God which tries to enter into our lives, hearts, and minds, and the word doesn't get farther than the ground it was thrown into, and it doesn't do us any good, and therefore doesn't do anyone in our lives any good who were supposed to benefit from the beautiful fruits that were to come forth on God's vine in our lives and flow out into their lives as well.

But the word of God wants us to rise up and break up our fallow ground. God's word wants us to quit pretending we didn't get hurt. God wants us to quit suppressing our anger and pain and go get it dealt with.

He wants us to bring our ashes, for which we will receive beauty.
He wants us to bring mourning, and he will give us the oil of joy.
He wants us to bring the spirit of heaviness, and he will give the garment of praise ...

That we might be trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

For blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither, and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

For this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then shalt thou make thy way prosperous, and then shalt thou have good success.

So, arise, man of God, woman of God! Arise, shine, for thy light is come, for the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee!

Rise up to your purpose!
Rise up to your destiny!
Rise up to your blessings!

Run forward to the divine destiny of God for your life.

Cut the grave-clothes of the past away from yourself, as they cut the grave-clothes away from Lazarus.

Cut off the grave-clothes of failure!
Cut off the grave-clothes of words spoken over you!
Cut off the grave-clothes of past defeats!
Cut off the grave-clothes of being told you would only go so far in life, when you saw their words were proven wrong!
Cut off the grave-clothes of the failures of your parents!
Cut off the grave-clothes of things you forgot to do and neglected to do!

CUT

THEM

OFF!!

Rise up in Jesus name!

You are greater than the pain which sought to destroy you!
You are greater than the circumstance which tried to consume you!
You are greater than this!

Go forward in Jesus name! Go forward!

Receive what God has promised you!

Review and remember the prophecies which have gone on before you, that by them you might war a good warfare. Use the word of prophecy to war and fight against Satan and against the lusts of the flesh.

As things tried to come and derail the plan of God in Samson's life, so they will try to come in your life and distract you. But do not make the mistakes Samson made, by sacrificing the permanent on the altar of the immediate. Do not be as Esau, who gave up his entire birth-right as a trade for a bowl of lentil soup. Do not give up what the Lord your God has given you, in a choice of foolishness made in a moment of excitement. For what little excitment will be given to you by choosing the flesh, God will over-abundantly give you YEARS of peace and prosperity in comparison to the few and fleeting moments you would have gotten by giving in to what was easy and convenient.

Do not allow your Isaac to be hindered and held back by taking the chance at your Ishmael. For Abraham could not wait for the promise, therefore he chose the convenience of bringing HIMSELF a son, rather than allowing God to bring that son. And yes, God did still provide Isaac at the last [for the promise would be fulfilled], but because of Abraham's disobedience, he chose for himself a divided inheritance, divided loyalty, and divided love.

So do not be foolish as Abraham was. Choose to wait upon the Lord, and he shall strengthen thine heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord! Be not weary in well doing, for in due season, you shall reap, if you faint not. Cast not away your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward. For you have need of patience, that after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise ... being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you shall perform it unto the day of Jesus Christ. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Wherefore, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

For we walk by faith, not by sight.

This is the word of the Lord unto you this day.
