That sounds like a nightmare I'd like to avoid. My sympathies go out to you and I hope you find a coverage that you can afford. (Or can figure out a way to get the exemption forms.) Those (lack of) forms sound like something that will get a lot of people off the hook in tax court.
Thanks, it's a nightmare that I do not want to be part of, that's for sure.
I did mention to the lady that I may have to consider taking my family and leaving the country and living somewhere else to avoid this mess.
She said she understood and that I would need to do what's best for my family.
Thankfully, my wife receives Medicare and is on a Medicare Advantage Plan that takes care of the 20% that Medicare doesn't pay, and my daughter has full Medicaid.
