Why shouldn't charges have been filed? He killed a man. Unless self-defense is glaringly obvious, the right thing to do is go to trial.
And it was at the time, and the jury agreed.

They (the powers that be) aren't finished yet.

Did you see the interview with one of the jurors on Anderson Cooper last night?

Yes I did. They had a job and did it effectively. Reading the law and applying it is exactly whet they did.

It is oh so easy to go back in hindsight and say if Zimmerman had done this or Trayvon had done that, then this would never have happened. It is whet it is.

They deliberated for two days. Glaringly obvious would not have taken that long.
She said what took so long was wanting to do the right thing. They were crying, etc. she said there was deep sympathy or both sides & both should had walked away. George should had never left the car & Trayvon should had walked straight home. Instead there was an altercation & even with cries of help, nobody set foot outside their doors.

I can agree with that. But that it took so much time doesn't indicate, to me, that it was as obvious as it was being made out to be. They even wanted a clarification for manslaughter.

They took it very seriously. And were quite convinced it was George yelling for help. George was convinced that since everyone knew him & he was on neighborhood watch someone would had helped. I guess there was a witness that saw Trayvon on top as the cries of help were being heard.

Because it was obvious to the police and the District Attorney (who lost his job because of this) that it was self defense. If one wants to change the law then drop self defense as a defense.

But they quickly dropped it. Because thy knew given the circumstances it was not an option. That's why the judged never returned on that during deliberations.

Piers Morgan needs deportation desperately! ^_^:p

Did anyone see Piers Morgan's interview of Rachel? To clarify you can use the N word as well as the C word as long as it ends in an A & not a R. Now you know. :p

He drives me crazy. He is so agenda driven & does not mind showing it. I never thought I'd miss boring Larry King so much.

If this trial has shown anything, it has shown just how stupid and idiotic some American citizens are. This whole court case should never had been in the media, and wouldn't have been, if it wasn't for some idiot in the media making it out to be something that it wasn't.

In fact I would say true justice would be to find these idiot(s) who blew this whole mess up and make them pay for all the damage caused by the various protests. Maybe then they will think twice the next time they want to try to spark a race war.

Exactly.

It's still being spun. They show a 13 year old Trayvon & Zimmerman after he gained weight in pictures side by side. How can people not see through this stuff?

I was listening to the radio, I believe Friday and they were talking about this case on a talk show. Anyway a woman from Texas called in saying that justice was not served in this case and she wasn't happy about it. Anyway during the discussion the host had with her, he asked her some cryptic questions like: "Have you heard of some case going on right now about some guy who killed a bunch of soldiers in Texas?" He asked her around 10 questions about the Fort Hood Shooting case, and she had absolutely no clue what he was talking about. None. Really how can this be? Shouldn't the Nidal Hasan case be much more important than what happened in Florida? It happened in her own state, and she was clueless.

That's how the design these things. It's all agenda anymore. And as many news outlets as we have with freedom of speech & all that, americans are woefully misinformed on events they broadcast as well as ignorant of other events. It's all about putting that extra notch in your politically correct belt to strut around in. They spoon feed it to you in the light they want you to see it & the sheeple parrot it. They tell us how to feel & think. This case is a perfect example of that.

There is no such thing as simply reporting the news anymore.

That's why I was so happy for that juror interview.
