Maybe I was actually correct when I first said you all were emotionally invested in Hawking and crew.  I gave you the benefit of the doubt and stated my objections in a respectful way, never resorting to insults like Morat has, and you still end up hostile.  Interesting.

And the fact that you misrepresented Hawking's words badly in your initial post, and responded to the evidence of that by calling Hawking's explanation "smoke and mirrors" had nothing to do with it (when, of course, the mere existance of the explanation showed you lied, so you call it "speculation". What's the definition of "is", Souljah?).

   Yes. It's our emotional investment with Hawking. It has nothing to do with you lying, with your deceptions, and your general attitude that truth is for other people.

It's very simple. You stated that Hawking claimed no explanation was needed for where the energy came from. His actual statement was different (He stated that the answer to "where did the energy come from was "There is no net energy") and proceeded to spend several paragraphs explaining how that works.

Explaining how zero energy works is NOT explaining where energy came from in the first place.

He clearly said that the answer to the question of where did the energy come from, is that the total energy is actually zero.

He NEVER explains where energy comes from, other than saying the total energy is zero. Wow, that is brilliant.

That's rich. I think I was the guy with the copy of ABHoT handy, as opposed to the person that was relying on "memory."

And what is it you do? Misunderstand, and worse, misrepresent the contents of a book you admit you've only read parts of; claim that Hawking's statements in the referenced chapter are the same as saying "There isn't any energy" even though he is talking about massive amounts of energy; confuse "vacuum" with "vacuum state" and "quantum vacuum"; provide sources that contradict your "argument"; make vague accusations of "hostility" and libel ... zzzzzzz

One thing you can rightly claim is prophecy, since in your original post you remarked:
