zelda OOT stuck in the water temple

In the room with the dragon heads and the red crystal switch, I jumped into the water before doing anything and now can't get out. I can only run around on the ground. Is there any way out?

to be honest, I can't remember that. After you turn it off you get reset to the beginning on the temple so you should be unstuck. Just try whatever you were trying again

Hit the red crystal switch again with the hookshot or the bow and arrows, once you do the water will raise up and you can swim to the floor.
And if that doesn't work use the hookshot and look for the targets. =)

The Water Temple is really annoying and tough the first time you play through it. Once you know what to do you can blow through it fairly quickly. OoT is one of my all-time favorite games.

That one was great too! I've loved all of the 3D Zeldas with the exception of Skyward Sword.

Did you set up a checkpoint with Faore's Wind? Use that. If nothing else, using Faore's Wind always sets the warp point at the door you entered through, so you could use that to get out of a pit if everything else fails.

But first, do try hitting the red crystal switch.
