CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Don't even get me started. I usually stay away from them, lest I face-palm myself so hard, that my hand comes through the back of my head. Unfortunately, I can't always avoid them because my university seems to have no shortage of SJWs. Usually I just laugh at their whiny illogical arguments, and don't bother to correct them, lest they call me a privileged white male racist sexist homophobic cisgender heartless libertarian, tell me to go read my Ayn Rand books, and sick their white knights on me.

I do occasionally, but defiantly not very well.
I have no problem with them. Like most groups, it is only the militant fringe that I have a problem with. My policy is that if anyone is cool with me, I'll be cool with them.

That's a tough question, I love so many different books. As a history major, I love nerding out on, you guessed it, history books. My favorite is A Patriot's History of the United States: From Columbus's Great Discovery to the War on Terror by Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen.
My slightly less nerdy choice (or more nerdy depending on your point of view) would be The Silmarillion by Tolkien.

An English knight and lord who fought in the crusades with Richard the Lionheart, and was a signer of the Magna Carta. He's like my 15th great grandfather lol.
