I've been focusing alot on making my mark in the world. I would like to leave it better than I found it and I'm tired of complaining of the lack great people. I'm going to be great and I'm going to make a difference.
But before you can change anything, first you have to know why you want to. This question has led me all the way back to the purpose of life, that tedious question that haunts us all:
Why do we exist?
I'm starting to realize now how futile this is. Consider the fact that people have always asked this question with little success. Evidence of this can be seen by the myriad of religions that exist not to mention smaller belief systems and each person's own interpretation of them. Faced with such a feat, I stumbled upon the idea that maybe I'm looking at it the wrong way.
Say we reversed the question: Why don't we exist? Such a useless question, isn't it? I'm starting to believe that the same applies to my dilema. Asking why we are might be completely beside the point. The point is that we are. Now, once we accept that, all we need to do is figure out what we want to do now that we exist.
Of course, I can be grasping at straws. Yeah... that's always a possibility.
