Yugioh: It's a game and a cartoon....

After Reading the Yugioh thread I decided to join and post this.

1. I am a 13 year old who really like yugioh and watches the anime.

2. The Yugioh card Game IS NOT BAD!!

It is simply a trading card game that is for Kids, and on another ( Completely different level) Teenagers


The show itself has nothing to do with Witchcraft/Occult/Anti-Christianity/Satanism it's a normal cartoon.


I'm not saying '' don't let your kids play it'', but all I'm saying is it IS now aimed at an older age group, but it's a fun game in many senses for younger kids if you let them play with friends and stuff, But not letting them play it or watch the show, it's a big mistake as it won't do any damage, so next time yoi see it on, just watch it, and notice that it isn't in any way, disturbing.

In final: Yugioh is simply a card game, a cartoon and a popular craze ( On two levels), The tv show is aimed AT younger children and the people who make it are doing it FOR that age group.

I know want you mean, all though the manga version of Yu-Gi-Oh is more for teenagers. Some of the themes of Yu-Gi-Oh are good vs evil, friendship, and kids playing a card game.

Whats supriseing about the game, the average age for a tournament person is 28years old, you kind have to be good at stratagy, and kinda smart to play it, and be good!

I don't consider 13 year old anime to be for the "older" age group.

Now Elfenlied, THAT'S for the older age group.

I found the game to be a bit too simple.

Yeah....Ghost In The Shell (The Movie) is aimed toward an Older group, well so is Stand Alone Complex......

I watched the first one or two of seasons of Yugioh and thought it was ok, but it got old pretty quickly(for me atleast). And it did seem more aimed at younger audience like you said. Then it also seems like the make a lot of anime off card games or vice versa.

Yugioh wasn't as bad as it is now when it first started, but the artists knew exactly where they were taking the series.

They are now blatantly dealing with spirits, souls, demons, necromancy, and sorcery.

And anyone who doesn't agree with me on this can think about these points:
What the heck is the seal of orikalkos?
Why is it ok that magical items have a soul that cohabitates with you in your body?
Why is it ok for them to have magic cards that trap the souls of living things?
Why is "waking" the dragons ok?

I mean, 7 year olds watch this show.
