Your worst accident

I was riding down a hill on my bicycle standing up when I went to slow down and my peddles went forward and threw me over the handle bars.

I can't remember the accident itself but I know I was roller blading "interesting" reprucussions:

Pretty ugly/scary face. When I saw it the first time at the hospital the next morning I puked! yummy. And I later made the comparison that the puke and my face looked pretty similiar...

I got a pretty bad cuncussion, was out for around half an hour

I broke my arm and the bone went through my skin.

7 stiches on my arm, 3 on my chin.

Later I had to go through another surgery on my chin cause it was infected (it was a year later) still and stuff. 10 more stitches.


Sorry I just wanted to get that off my chest! I hate talking about it, but when I do, it makes me feel better.

I got hit by a Mac truck while riding in a Ford Escort. The truck hit us twice, once on the fender, which tossed out in front of it, and then again while we were in front, throwing us out into the median strip. We were going about 70 miles an hour at the time. The state patrolman said he didn't know why we weren't killed, but the car wasn't even totalled, and we walked away without a scratch.

i was on my friends motorcycle, and they had just had the brakes adjusted so they were really tight and griped very well, and i was going along and hit the brakes and it fell on my. Heh, i broke the clutch and they had to get new brakes from where i burnt them out. I wasnt really hurt, i got a little place on my knee frtom hitting tyhe ground, but it was really kinda funny now that i look at it.

I was riding bikes with some friends, we were going down a really big hill. I thought I would be "talented" and take my hands off the handle bars. Well, my tire hit a spot on the edge of the road where the tar sometimes breaks off. My bike slipped off the road and tipped over, I skidded for about 8 feet on the tar w/ bare skin, my geeky glasses flew off my face and to the other side of the road. I started to walk to her house at first, but one of my knees was too stiff to move so her dad came and picked me up....I had to call my mom and tell her what happened.....and I wasn't even supposed to go that far on my bike!!!! Whoops!!

My whole back was scraped up, my ribs were showing. I scraped up my knees, and elbows to the bone. My spine was all icky up by my neck, and some scrapes on my head. My mom was picking rocks out of my skin for weeks. I couldn't move for about two days because I was so stiff, especiall my poor knee.

YOWCH! Well, mine's not that dramatic or anything (thank God!) I was roller skating at the roller rink for a friend's birthday party when I was little, about 8 or 9. They turned on the strobe lights, the first time I had ever seen such a phenomenon. I freaked out and went to sit down on the bench. Not really able to see where I was going I skated BASH! into a metal beam and sliced my forehead. Blood all over the place. Needless to say, the party was over.

Motorcycle. Drizzly day. 74 y.o. man (in a 4-door Escort) sees me coming and decides he can cross the intersection before I get there. Turns left in front of me. Panics. Guns it. Sits in the middle of the intersection with his wheels hydroplaning. Hit him at 40 mph (according to the police report - his vehicle spun a few times). Flew some 40-50 feet through the air. Concussion. Broken wrist. Other wrist sprained. Coupla broken ribs. I was in the hospital for 2-days. Coulda been worse. I always where a helmet -- mighta been a vegetable otherwise.

Age, 12. Place, school. Time, dismissal. Incident, got pushed from behind by rushing students just DYING to get home, and fell, front first onto the flight of steps, and just slided and collided at least 20 steps. My joints were shaking and I couldn't have done it if a senior had not pulled me up. She was my angel.

I hit a tree while bicycling down a hill. The brakes locked up on me and I went skidding off the trail and landed face-first into a tree. Amazingly I was not hurt except for some scratches and bruises.

I was at a swimming pool slide. Apparently i slid down on my belly and on a sharp turn, one of my teeth went SHHHHHing! on the slide thing. Chipped a small peice off, didn't hurt that badly. Worst thing was that they had to repaint that long line on the slide. HAH! got them more than it got me! Bwhahhaa!

ummm, my worst accident... It's a toss up between the time I rode my bike off a bridge or the one I flipped over the handle bars. Good thing I don't ride bikes anymore

2 car accidents I was injured in both pretty bad. I was attacked and strangled to death. I had a vice fall on my head. My friend was starting his lawn mower and the thing that the string raps up in flew off and hit me in the head and I had to have stitches. I broke my nose parking my go cart under a campershell that was sitting on sawhorses, I forgot to get off and push the go cart under, I decided to drive it under the campershell forgetting there was no clearance for my head. OUCH! Oh and I was shot on my 18th birthday. I should just stay home I guess. LOL!!!

Wow Kristen! I thought my life was rough. Around here I'm known as the person to stay away from in dangerous situations as I'm the most likely to get injured. I have pretty bad luck I guess.

I was rally racing on a back road and went off at around 70kmh and barrel rolled it 30ft off a cliff into three trees... the kicker is that except for those three trees, there was absolutely NOTHING else except for 400ft of drop into a rock filled white water river. Confirmed by the tow truck driver that got my car out (many people have died down there apparently). I took a golf ball in the head (cheekbone, 1" down from the temple, 1" up from the teeth) from the distance of home plate to third base, shot with a 1W... I hit the ground like a ton of bricks and shattered my face apart, swole up so big that my eye went black and my nose bled for the next three days. Was climbing a VERY steep embankment with my brother and my friend, on the way down we were kicking random logs and stuff, and one rock that my brother kicked supported the entire mountain. Major rock slide and my brother was completely buried. Many many many many many stitches later we were all ok. I got pushed off a 12 ft cliff and landed on a boulder back first, temporarily paralyzed. The night of Jan 1st 2000 I was chased and beaten, then kidknapped thrown in a van and driven around for half an hour all the while being beaten with a bat. Eventually they dropped me off at the house i was taken from but didnt let me go till they kicked my face in a few times and had more fun with the bat in front of my friends. Also, not an accident but painful, I had surgery once and was stapled back together, and it got infected so they had to remove the staples without any anesthetic (OWCH) clean it (OUUUUUCH) and then cut more skin out (OUWWCCCCCCCCCCCH). I fell off on a roadbike once and landed on my face and side and arm, and was pure scab on the entire left side my body. Was running away from someone once and fell right onto a curb face first - lost all my teeth (they're fake now). And of course the one I'm famous for - having a jack break out while i was working on my car and getting my leg pinned underneath.

There are more, but you get the picture. Good thing I have a high pain tolerance.

ACK! This thread makes my body hurt!!!

Once I was riding a horse (my first time I might add) in one of those guided trails through the Smoky Mountains. The horse behind mine was a brat and kept messing with mine all along the trail. then right at the end, the horse behind mine bit my horses's behind and she reared back and off I went. Except my foot was tangled in the stirrup on one side and I sorta bounced along/dragged behind for a few feet. I broke three ribs and bruised a kidney, and was bruised something fierce. After that I had a four hour car ride back home in which I thought I was being killed.

Did I mention that it was my anniversary and my ex-husband was riding the bratty horse? Hmmmmmmmmm.......
