That's right but the Church isn't the Roman Catholic Church, it's the body of believers who profess Jesus Christ as savior and Lord.Metanoia02 said:1Tim 3:15

So what, the Eastern Orthodox is no where near confusion either. The Luthern Church is no where near confusion. There are thousands upon thousands of denominations that are no where near confusion.livingproofGM said:If that were the case, God's Church would be a bunch of confused souls. Just let your love center on Christ, not your church or the place you worship, whatever it may be, and you will never go wrong. Paul says love never fails and I believe him.canadiancatholic said:Sorry didn't mean to start a debate. Just was curious as to how other faith's view our salvation. There were alot of great, loving posts. Thanks for the imput. The reason I switched was I felt a great calling and have never been moved as much as I was than when I went through our RCIA. The RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)was a great experience and at the time I was just curious about the faith. I would bet that a great many protestants would benefit just attending these classes. Not only would they deepen your faith, but give you a better understanding of the Catholic religion. All the accusations of idolatry and false worship would be clarified, as I once thought the same as you.
Yours in Christ,

LOL, I can't argue that oneMetanoia02 said:But if you put them all together and call them the Church it would be total confusion.
nephilimiyr said:Look, I see God moving in all or most churches and denominations. I see the face of Christ in a Baptist just as much as in the face of a RC. I see the fruits of both. It's all about increasing the Kingdom of God, it's not about us. It's not about whether we worship the correct way or whether we say the right things or do the right things. I have personally found that if you take care of what God wants and desires then He will take care of you. I see this in evidence all the time.
Many flocks outside the Roman Catholic Church are doing Gods will. Yes there are some denominations that are a drift but by and large the kingdom of God is increasing.Metanoia02 said:I agree 100%. But the truth IS out there. Without it we run the risk of leading new believer's into error. This is a serious matter for those who are called to be shepherds. They will be judged by how they lead thier flocks.
Pac Shady said:A man dies and goes to Heaven. St Peter takes him on a tour of the grounds, to show him the sites and scenery and where everything is, etc.
They pass a room with hundreds of people inside, praising the Lord and having a great old time, with food and drinks up the back and a good social atmosphere. The man asks "Who are those people?" "Oh, they're the Presbyterians, that's where they worship God." said Peter.
They pass another room, also with hundreds of people inside. They're jumping up and down, dancing, speaking in tongues, waving flags and blowing horns. Quite a noisy mob. "Who are they?" "Oh, that's the Pentecostals. That's their place of worship (with extra soundproofing in the walls)."
They keep walking. Again, they pass another door, this time the people inside are much more quiet, but praising God in a slightly more sombre way than the others previous. "Who are those people?" the man asks. "Those would be the Anglicans, nice group of people, keep to themselves usually, but rather friendly and cheerful when you get to know them."
They walked on. They approached another room, this one was closed with huge heavy wooden doors, and soft music flowed from within. "Shhhh, we have to be very quiet walking past this door."
"Why's that?" whispered the man Peter was leading on this tour. "Because," he replied, "those are the Catholics. They think they're the only one's up here."
